Heights, confined space entry and gas testing are the three tickets that turn up together on almost every shutdown, tank job and plant maintenance scope in Central Queensland. We run them as a one day cluster at your workplace, which is why we can do all three for less than most providers charge for one.

The units

  • RIIWHS204 Work safely at heights, plus refresher
  • RIIWHS202 Enter and work in confined spaces, plus refresher
  • MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres
  • We also deliver lower casualty from height rescue training and issue work permits for your site authorisers

What it costs

  • All three as a one day cluster: $500 per person, minimum 4 people. Other RTOs charge $675 and up.
  • Run separately: $200 per person per course.

All training is delivered face to face at your workplace, and on-site delivery within 50km of Mackay is included at no extra cost. Outside that radius we quote it custom. Delivering on site keeps your people on the job: you lose them for the time it takes to be deemed competent, not for a full day of travel.

Fewer people than the minimum? Ask anyway. The group minimum is what keeps the per-head price where it is, but we can look at an adjusted rate for smaller groups on a case by case basis.

Who it suits

Shutdown and maintenance contractors, CHPP and plant crews, fabrication and tank work, water and waste operators, and anyone whose scope involves a harness, a permit or an atmosphere that has to be tested before entry.

Training is not the whole obligation

Tickets get your people qualified. They do not, on their own, discharge your duty as the PCBU. High risk work still needs the permit system, the rescue plan and, on the bigger jobs, someone competent on the ground supervising it. We do that side too, so if you would rather have the training and the supervision come from the same person who knows your site, that is available.

All accredited training and assessment is delivered in conjunction with Advanced Industry Training, RTO 5363, so course outcomes are nationally recognised.
