Standard 11, G189 & G2 Training in Mackay

Standard 11 is the generic induction every coal mine worker in Queensland needs before they set foot on site, and G189 (formerly S123) and G2 are the risk control competencies the Bowen Basin operators ask for on top of it. We deliver all three in and around Mackay, at your workplace, under RTO 5363.

What we deliver

• Delivered as a combined program where it suits your crew, or as individual units

What it costs

• Standard 11: $500 per person, minimum 4 people. Other RTOs charge around $695.
• G189 and G2 together: $500 per person, minimum 4 people. Other RTOs charge $650 to $900.
• Run separately: $350 per person for G189, $200 per person for G2.

All training is delivered face to face at your workplace, and on-site delivery within 50km of Mackay is included at no extra cost. Outside that radius we quote it custom. Delivering on site keeps your people on the job: you lose them for the time it takes to be deemed competent, not for a full day of travel.

Fewer people than the minimum? Ask anyway. The group minimum is what keeps the per-head price where it is, but we can look at an adjusted rate for smaller groups on a case by case basis.

Mining contractors and labour hire crews heading onto Bowen Basin coal sites, maintenance and shutdown contractors who need people inducted before a job starts, and Mackay businesses bringing on new starters or apprentices who need site access.

All accredited training and assessment is delivered in conjunction with Advanced Industry Training, RTO 5363, so course outcomes are nationally recognised.

Give us a call with your dates and crew numbers. Because we come to you rather than running fixed public courses, we can usually work around your roster and your shutdown windows instead of the other way round.
